Faith by Numbers
.
This piece is a mixed-media wall sculpture that gracefully transitions from a bold three-dimensional presence to delicate, two-dimensional impressions. Its primary elements are equilateral triangles with elegantly curved lines, rising gently from their base points to create volume. At the bottom left, the largest triangle stands in a deep, intense dark red. Surrounding it, smaller triangles align in circular patterns, with their curved edges forming consecutive arcs. This smaller elements echo the larger triangle, gradually becoming flatter, lighter, and less tangible as they spread outward. The outermost triangles dissolve into pale watercolors and finally into pencil sketches, creating a gradient that shifts from vivid and dimensional to soft and ethereal. This layered evolution simultaneously emphasizes the geometric precision of the triangles and the organic fluidity of the circles they form, weaving two harmonious layouts into one. This sculpture explores the evolution of an idea, symbolizing the journey from conception to fruition and beyond, into trascendence. The interplay of geometry, dimension, and a delicate color palette evokes a quiet sense of mysticism, inviting viewers to reflect on their own processes of growth, belief, and self-discovery.
